Are you a fully qualified neuropsychologist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or speech and language therapist with experience in neurorehabilitation and an interest in working as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team? If so, we’d love to hear from you as we continue to grow our services.
We are looking for experienced clinicians to join Cognivate on either an employed or associate basis, supporting adults with acquired brain injury (ABI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) across home, community, and workplace settings.
Alongside strengthening our established services, we are also expanding into the Midlands, creating new opportunities for clinicians who share our values of clinical excellence, collaboration, and person-centred rehabilitation.
Opportunities/Roles
We offer opportunities to work with Cognivate on either a permanent employed basis or as an associate clinician, depending on your experience, location, and preferred way of working.
Our employed roles provide the opportunity to contribute not only to clinical delivery but also to wider service development, leadership, and interdisciplinary working across the organisation.
For associates, we offer competitive hourly rates across all agreed activity, including direct clinical work, administration and liaison time, report writing, and travel within the geographical area covered by Cognivate. Associates become part of our wider clinical network and are supported through access to Cognivate systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical meetings, and discipline-specific case review processes.
With our continued growth — including the development of our new Midlands constellation alongside our established South East services — there are increasing opportunities to build a varied and rewarding caseload while contributing to a high-quality, community-based neurorehabilitation model.
Responsibilities & Requirements
To provide gold standard neurorehabilitation interventions to clients in their homes, communities, or workplaces as an integrated member of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with our therapists across disciplines and participating in relevant clinical meetings and case discussions, where appropriate.
Training in Cognivate protocols and systems will be provided, alongside ongoing clinical case reviews and professional support from a senior clinician within your discipline to ensure consistency and quality across our services.
To be considered for a role with us, applicants should typically demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification clinical experience within adult neurorehabilitation
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering community-based / domiciliary rehabilitation, including autonomous working in clients’ homes and community environments.
- Experience managing a complex neurological caseload, including acquired brain injury (ABI) and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI).
- Confidence working both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team (IDT).
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills.
- Experience liaising with case managers, families, support teams, and external stakeholders where relevant.
- Appropriate professional registration and indemnity insurance relevant to their discipline.
- Ability and willingness to travel within their geographical region to support client need.
We recognise that no candidate will meet every criterion exactly. However, due to the autonomous nature of associate work and the specialist complexity of our client group, applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong existing foundation in neurorehabilitation practice.
Location & Growth Opportunities
As part of Cognivate’s continued growth, we are excited to be expanding into the Midlands through the development of a new Midlands constellation — building on and replicating the proven community neurorehabilitation model we have established across the South East.
This new region will be led by Dr Keith Jenkins, bringing extensive neuropsychology expertise and local leadership, while being fully supported by Cognivate’s Executive Team who provide strategic and operational oversight across the whole organisation. Alongside this, there will be opportunities to draw upon the experience, supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration of our established core therapy team in the South East.
To support this exciting phase of growth, we are looking to onboard high-quality associate therapists across the Midlands (as well as our existing regions) to help us continue delivering responsive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation to adults and young people in the community following acquired brain injury (ABI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
We are particularly interested in hearing from clinicians who value collaborative working and want to be part of an experienced, neuro-specialist team delivering meaningful outcomes for clients.
